Building on last week’s analysis, this week MBP Intelligence further breaks down exclusive polling done by Pollara Strategic Insights that show a notable shift in Western Canadian attitudes toward Ottawa, one driven less by ideology than by tangible federal action on economic files.

The data reveals three critical dynamics: strong but conditional support for major resource projects, a clear preference for execution discipline, and significant variation in how different pipeline scenarios land with voters, particularly in British Columbia:

  • MEREDITH: Time to Build Means Time to Collaborate – The Nutrien Warning
  • BOESSENKOOL: The West rallies behind Carney's major projects vision, but beware affordability concerns
  • PHILLIPS: Why Eby's conditional “pro-projects, just not anti-tanker ban” stance is perfect politics for the BC NDP
